StreamSTEP at SDEWES 2025

We’re excited to share that the StreamSTEP EU Project participated in the 20th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES 2025), held from October 5–10, 2025, in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The conference was jointly organized by the University of Zagreb and the University of Lisbon.

Our partner Fabiola Tovar Lasheras from CIRCE – Centro Tecnológico delivered an insightful presentation titled “Experimental study on the combustion of methane and hydrogen mixtures in a pilot-scale furnace”, showcasing ongoing research conducted within the StreamSTEP EU Project.

The SDEWES Conference is a leading international event dedicated to advancing and sharing knowledge on methods, policies, and technologies that promote sustainable development. It focuses on decoupling growth from the use of natural resources and supporting the transition toward a knowledge-based economy — integrating the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of sustainability.

This year’s edition brought together 785 scientists, researchers, and experts from 68 countries across six continents, with 670 attending onsite and 115 online, fostering a truly global exchange of ideas and innovation.
