On 26–27 May 2026, the StreamSTEP consortium gathered in Kaunas, Lithuania, for the project's 18-Month General Assembly Meeting and First Review Meeting, hosted by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). The two-day event provided an inspiring setting for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic planning, bringing together project partners both onsite and online.

This important milestone offered an opportunity for the consortium to reflect on the achievements of the project's first 18 months, assess progress across all work packages, and align on the next steps towards achieving StreamSTEP's ambitious objectives.

The first day was dedicated to the General Assembly Meeting, during which partners presented the significant progress achieved so far, discussed challenges encountered, and outlined upcoming activities. The productive discussions demonstrated the strong commitment of all partners to advancing innovative solutions for industrial energy efficiency and sustainable operations.

As part of the programme, participants had the opportunity to tour the campus of Vytautas Magnus University and visit its research laboratories. The lab tour provided valuable insights into the university's research infrastructure and ongoing technological developments, fostering further exchange of knowledge and expertise among consortium members.

The day concluded with a networking dinner, offering participants an excellent opportunity to continue discussions in an informal setting, strengthen collaborations, and celebrate the project's achievements to date.

On the second day, the consortium successfully held its first Review Meeting, presenting the main activities, progress, and results achieved during the first 18 months of the project. Partners showcased key technical developments and project outcomes, while constructive discussions with the reviewers helped identify future priorities and actions for the next phase of implementation.
